Educational Philosophy

Excellent educators and high expectations leads to optimal outcomes

School Purpose

  • Schools should foster Culture of Excellence and Opportunity.
  • When our kids leave home, they should be equipped to pursue their interests as responsible educated members of society.
  • America is the greatest nation on Earth. All of us of immigrants, our schools must be neutral territory that celebrates merit and promotes our shared heritage as Americans under the Constitution.
  • Trustees have a fiduciary duty to taxpayers; oversight of administrators for prudential stewardship of our schools & taxes.

Students & Families

  •  Parents & family are most important educators.
  • Schools must foremost represent all children & parents within their district.
  • Families should express gratitude & charity towards many excellent teachers in Kalispell.
  • Whether families choose home schooling, parochial, private, or public schools, the trustees for SD5 should focus on how to best support all kids.
  • Parents are entitled to contact their children's teachers, principals, administrators and trustees. I will have an open door policy.

Academics and Beyond

  • Teachers play an instrumental role in student learning and development.
  • Math is an essential skill in civilized society. Math bans egregiously breach students' civil rights.
  •  Athletics and the Arts are crucial complements to academic pursuits.
  • Girls should never be forced to compete in sports against biological males, nor should they be punished for boycotting biological male athletes.
  • College is NOT sole objective of K-12 schools, but support students with interest and aptitude for college.
